antioxidants—including the enzymes superoxide dismutase
(SOD) and catalase—are the body's primary defense against
free radical assault, offering up to thousands of times more
protection against certain dangerous free radicals than
dietary antioxidants. The body's
supply of youthful antioxidant enzymes such as SOD rapidly
decreases with age.1,2
Fortunately SODzyme™ with GliSODin® and Wolfberry combines
three advanced SOD catalysts to replenish the body's supply
of SOD, vastly enhancing its natural antioxidant defenses.
The suggested daily dose of three capsules
provides 2000 mg of SODzyme™, a proprietary plant-based
extract. In a study of 12 middle-aged volunteers of both
sexes who took 2000 mg SODzyme™ daily for two weeks, SODzyme™
boosted serum SOD levels by 30 percent on average, and
reduced toxic hydrogen peroxide by 47 percent.3
The SODzyme™ formula also contains
GliSODin®, a patented, plant derived form of SOD. In an
animal study, small amounts of orally administered GliSODin®
raised blood levels of SOD by 89 percent and increased
catalase levels by 171 percent.4
SODzyme® now supplies 100 mg of a
standardized wolfberry (Lycium barbarum) fruit
extract. When given to patients aged 64-80 years, wolfberry
increased blood levels of SOD by 48 percent and lowered
dangerous blood lipid peroxides by 65 percent in only 10
days.5
SODzyme™ with GliSODin® is a 100%
vegetarian product using only plant sources for Superoxide
Dismutase (SOD) catalysts and vegetarian capsules. The SOD
enzyme activity is certified based upon the NBT†
assay. GliSODin® is a patented, non-GMO, water dispersible
form of SOD lypholized extract from the edible plant
Curcumis melo (Melon). GliSODin® has been combined with
a wheat gliadin protein matrix that protects SOD from
degradation in the digestive tract and promotes its
absorption in the small intestines. SODzyme™ and GliSODin®
stimulate the natural production of SOD by the body. |
